Photography tools & applications
Must have's for the photographer, film maker, or CG artist.
PTGui
I'm a huge panoramic fan, and I've found this to be the most robust stitching software on the market.
PTGui has been around for a while and is very simple to use. Their algorithms seem to be the most intelligent and fast when stitching warped or not so perfect images. They've added tons of new features, such as stitching HDR's etc.. A must have for any panoramic photographer.
HDR Shop
If you work in CG, chances are you've had to shoot a pano for lighting, and if you're on set there's no way you would have the time to bracket and shoot 3-10 exposures for a 360 degree dome light probe.
HDR Shop is the partner application to your chrome ball. There have been many improvements since verison 1.0, which is still free, but even the ancient 1.0 version can still get the job done.
Dynamic Perception
Motion control time lapse photography has come a long way.
Dynamic Perception has worked with some of the top CG/panoramic artists in the field to develop a lightweight user friendly motion control rig. Well priced and practical, this is the only way to go to add movement to your time lapse photography.
Red Rock Micro
The most popular DSLR rigging, I've used Red Rock rigs many times.
Red Rock Micro are well thought our camera rigs, including shoulder mounts, monitor mounts, counter balances, and more. Lightweight and practical this is my 1st choice for a DSLR rig setup.
Cinevate
A vialbe secnod solution to Red Rock's DSLR rigs.
Cinevate arrived on scene shortly after RRM, and have been a contender for the top spot since then. Their product line has hit several homeruns in practicality. Also in many instances cheaper that RRM, whihc is also desirable.
Glidecam
Arm or handheld glidecams are the most practical and affordable steadicams.
Glidecam has tons of options for your Ari Alexa to goPro. Great quality and price - I've used both the arm and hand held and was very happy.
Quadcopters
Ready for lift off?
QuadcopterUK has the largetst selection of copters. Quad or octo, DSLR, goPro or Red One, they have copter's for any and all cameras and they're priced well.
