It’s been a 5 year journey that took me back to Los Angeles from New Zealand early in 2018. I was a liaison between LEI and WetaFX to help facilitate the workflow between our two companies. After a few months the 1st delivery from LEI to Weta was made and I returned back to New Zealand. Upon my return it was myself and just a very small handful of artists working on the film for the next 2-3 years. Somehow I found myself on the stunteam and ended up being in the film! Immediately after my short time being a stuntee, I was given a chance to supervise/lead a team Motion Capture Animators (Motion Editors) and spear head most of the hand-to-hand combat sequences on top of many others. I’ve never given so much to a film in my entire career than this film.
