It’s been over a month with no updates on my short – Peter Jackson is to blame 😉
I’m working at Park Road Post as a colorist on a personal/government funded project for PJ. Unbeknownst to me, PJ has the largest WW1 collection in the world, and is an avid historian on the subject. This year marks the centennial anniversary of the Battle of Gallipoli, and the New Zealand government, along with Peter Jackson, have commissioned a huge new Memorial and Gallipoli exhibit in Wellington.
On opening day, I heard rumors that the Royal family will be here, as well as a brigade of soldiers adorned in the WW1 uniforms marching down closed roads. I’m really looking forward to seeing everything completed!
Working at PRP has been amazing! I LOVE this studio! It feels like what everyone film/production/post studios SHOULD be. Some of PJ’s academy awards are on display, there is a cafe and the entire place has vintage New Zealand mid century artwork or vintage film posters. It’s a beautiful place to work, everyone is friendly and I couldn’t be happier! Hopefully I can come back after this project for other projects – I’m very fortunate to have this experience!
